Orgntr, honey, I'm sorry I left you, and I wish you would simply get over losing me and move on with your life. Really, I think that would be healthiest. Also, please stop sending me poetry & flowers...I'm sorry, but I need a real man, and you're not him. Oh, and also, you might want to watch and comprehend the review - if you can do that, you'll see I thought it was a well-made movie w/several weaknesses. I hope the next man you meet is the one for you. Good luck. -Kp

Dumb faggot has no idea what he's talking about. Guess his queer lover left him. Well don't take it out on Rocky!

Hence, why I coupled it in with Rocky III, instead of the first two. Rocky III was a good SPORTS movie, while I and II were excellent dramatic feature films. And as for Balboa being a remake of the original, I think it was really meant as a final swan song for the character. Letting him go out on top in perfect fashion and not as a total joke, which is what most people considered Rocky and Stallone to be after Rocky V.

Very cool, Sei! I guess my disappoitment, although I thought it was a well-done/well-made movie, was that it retread over too much familiar ground. I was glad Stallone got back to the dramatic roots of Rocky -- as opposed to the "action-sports" genre it had become. -Kp

I saw it with my girlfriend opening night. She never saw a Rocky Movie before and wondered why I had the first two in my DVD collection. Suffice to say, after being in that packed room and seeing the film and how much everyone, including herself, got into it....well, we watched the first two that same weekend. She now lists the first Rocky with her top ten films she's ever seen. As for me, I thought it was the best one since Rocky III.

sorry, i disagree with the review.. i thought the movie sucked monkey nuts. I hated it as much as i hated rocky vi and rocky vi has to be one of the suckiest movies ever thought out by man. I honestly thought sly stallone was dead. GOD he is old when, you see him fight he has these massive veins popping out of his arms and they look mutated worms... its disgusting. Anyway i guess the director cant except that the rocky movies are old.

Hey, Bad. I somehow missed this post of yours. That's great that the audience rallied behind Rock. Like I said, it's a good drama, but I felt it paralleled the first one SOO much...I wanted a NEW underdog story, not the old one. I like the concept of drawing parallels for the start & end of his career, but the same story? Sigh.
