Aksai Chin a region of Kashmir was annexed by the Chinese from India during 1962 Indo-Chinese war. Immediately after Pakistan ceded 5,800 km² of Kashmir to China in 1963 under pressure from the Chinese. Most of the Muslim majority(95% muslims) regions of Gilgit, Baltistan and Azad Kashmir is already governed by Pakistan. In the Indian part of Kashmir except for Kashmir Valley (95% muslims), Jammu (67% Hindus) and Ladakh(51% Buddhists) are not Muslim majority regions.
