Description:
America, my America. I look at you from afar through foreign eyes and don't recognize you anymore. What will it take to make these things stop happening? Can we be honest with ourselves? Continuing along the same path, how will we be in 10 years? |

KurtGnu ::: Favorites It's only all too common the phenomenon.. and not only in the USA.. But I can't help thinking that somewhere in the line of history the rulers of the USA got their priorities wrong.. They allow guns for everybody, but do not have a working wellfare system.. i.e if you don't have insurance, you don't get proper medical care.. It may be the land of the FREE, but is it the right kind of FREEDOM?? 07-05-18 16:27:20 _____________________________________________________
LeSaMilano ::: Favorites Yeah, it's a tough line. I live in a country almost absent of a judicial system, with a deeply corrupt and crumbling state health program. Socialized medicine run by governmenst is a bad plan, too. Poor people without insurance or poor people without 'connections' is the same thing. Don't get me started of weapons. 07-05-18 16:39:18 _____________________________________________________
KurtGnu ::: Favorites In the UK it costs nothing to see a Dr.. in Sweden it's next to nothing.. that's what taxes are for.. Unfortunately sometimes the taxmoney is spent on the wrong thing, the UK health sytem is not corrupt, but it sure is crumbling.. too many chiefs, too few indians,as they say.. 07-05-18 16:50:59 _____________________________________________________

flydarling ::: Favorites Just going through the archives and it's been a good day so I was strong enough to watch this. I can't watch the news. Max was six months when the towers went down and I haven't watched much news since. I won't live in fear. I agree with most of the comments above. We can all do our bit to raise our children with love and appreciation of difference. We must set the example by reaching out to our neighbours and not being afraid to speak up. Thanks Lesley 07-06-17 14:02:18 _____________________________________________________
LeSaMilano ::: Favorites Lesley I know exactly what you mean. I haven't be able to watch news except with one eye closed, head askew, since 9/11. Glad it's been a good day and hope this didn't bum you out too much. :( (now go watch some frivolous stuff to cancel cancel!)Lesley :)) 07-06-17 15:34:40 _____________________________________________________
